Delhi-class

Stable

The three ships remain operational, with INS Mysore and INS Mumbai participating in International Fleet Review 2026.

On 18 February 2026, INS Mysore and INS Mumbai represented the Delhi class at International Fleet Review 2026 off Visakhapatnam, showing that the ageing ships remain deployable. INS Delhi had also completed a Manila port call and bilateral sea exercise with the Philippine Navy in August 2025, while INS Mumbai joined Exercise La Pérouse in January 2025. The class combines BrahMos strike missiles, layered Shtil and Barak-1 air defence, helicopters and upgraded sensors in a 6,700–6,900-tonne hull. Continued Delhi-class availability gives India experienced escort and task-group platforms while newer destroyers assume the highest-end air-defence missions.
